Dollar will have a greeter in the morning outside of the customs exit to direct customers to the shuttle bus area. The shuttle time from the airport to the new Dollar location will be no longer than 3 to 5 minutes longer then the shuttle to our current location. This is dependent upon traffic conditions but we feel it should be completely acceptable to our customers. The location is located on Nimitz highway which all easy access to Waikiki.

This device would be an additional upgrade from the Garmin SAT NAV/GPS and will cost $23.99 per day. •SNOW CHAINS /SKI RACK: $10 per day with a maximum charge of $35 per rental. •PLATEPASS: The daily charge is inclusive of all tolls incurred and ranges from $8.99 - $21.49 USD per day with some weekly rates available in certain locations. •ROADSAFE/TRIPSAVER: This service provides accidental towing, lock-out, flat tire, and fuel and battery service. Providing additional cover for travel emergencies other than vehicle breakdown - Cost is between $7.99 - $8.99 USD per day plus taxes and fees. This towing and support service is country specific so would only include cover when travelling within the US or Canada Please note: The price of optional extras (including equipment, fuel and insurance) are subject to change without notice and local taxes may apply. Optional extras (equipment) are subject to availability and payable at the counter.

•One-way fee is always included in the price quoted online but may be payable at the counter, only applicable for One Way Rentals.
Fuel policy
Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges you will need to return it full. You may be required to leave a fuel deposit reserved on your credit card that will be released when you return the car full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return along with an administration fee. The price per litre charged by the rental agent may be significantly higher than the price at the local service station.
Payment Details
To qualify to rent the Dollar vehicle, the renter must present at the time of rental a valid driver’s license and valid major credit card or debit card (see Debit Card Usage below) in the renter's own name with available credit. At the time of rental, an authorized hold will be secured on your credit/debit card provided to cover the estimated rental charges plus an additional $200.00 to cover additional charges that may be incurred. These funds will not be available for your use until the end of the rental after charges apply.

G. Using Debit Cards to Qualify for a Rental
Reservation made more than 24 hours before the start of rental?
At U.S. corporate locations, debit cards issued under a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover logo which draw funds directly from the renter’s account may be used at the start of the rental when the reservation is made more than 24 hours before the time of rental, and the rental is for car classes other than convertibles, Premium or Luxury rentals. Only non-prepaid debit cards backed by Visa, Mastercard or Discover will be accepted. Dream car classes follows the existing policy. An authorization amount including the estimated total for the rental charges and an incremental hold of $200 will be assessed for non-EXPRESS members, and EXPRESS members renting for the first time. These funds will not be available for your use until the end of the rental after charges apply. The above incremental hold will not be applied to established EXPRESS members using a VISA card.
Reservation made less than 24 hours before the rental or renting a premium, convertible or luxury car class?
A debit card may be used on a reservation made less than 24 hours before the rental or when renting a convertible, Premium or Luxury car class when the following information is provided:
• Two (2) valid forms of identification; and
o Valid forms of identification are a valid United States or Foreign Country issued Driver’s License AND One (1) of the following forms:
An alternative valid credit or debit card embossed with the same name as the driver’s license;
A United States or Foreign Country Issued passport in the same name as the driver’s license and debit card;
United States or Foreign Country Issued Military Identification Card in the same name as the driver’s license and debit card;
Non-Government Form of ID, examples that may be accepted include: store membership card with photo (Costco, Sam’s, etc.) or a company ID badge with photo. Names on both forms must match driver’s name on license and debit card; or
A current month Utility statement which is addressed to the renter with the same name and address as present on the renter’s driver’s license (e.g., gas, electric, cable bill).
• Proof of travel plans, including (but not limited to) return trip travel tickets.
An authorization amount including the estimated total for the rental charges and an incremental hold of $200 will be assessed for non-EXPRESS members, and EXPRESS members renting for the first time. These funds will not be available for your use until the end of the rental after charges apply. The above incremental hold will not be applied to established EXPRESS members cards.
Exceptions: Debit cards are accepted for Dollar EXPRESS members when the card is already in the member’s profile or the rental is a Replacement rental.
In the event the renter in unable to produce the above required documents, a credit card may be used to secure the rental and at the end of the rental, a debit card may be used for payment.
Cash Deposit Identification Cards - Cash rentals which require an up-front deposit of cash are accepted from customers who have obtained a Cash Deposit Identification (ID) Card. Applications for a Cash Deposit ID Card are available from Dollar.com. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older (18 in Michigan and New York). The application process can take approximately thirty (30) days except as otherwise required by law. There is a US$15 non-refundable processing fee which offsets the cost to have a modified credit check performed on the applicant.
Cross Border Information
In most cases, vehicles can be driven in any state in the continental United States. Dollar Rent A Car vehicles are not permitted to be taken on ferries or to island locations without prior authorization from Dollar Rent A Car. Travel is also not permitted via rail.
Travel to Mexico is permitted with prior authorization from the following locations - LAX, SAN, ELP, TUS, PHX, SFO. An additional insurance must be purchased locally - the cost of Mexican insurance is 27.80 per day.
Vehicles may be driven into Canada from the following locations: JFK, EWR, LGA and Manhattan locations, ORD, MDW, DTW, PHL, LAX, SFO & BOS. SEA is limited to Southern British Columbia (including Whistler), Vancouver metro area and Victoria BC only. PDX is limited to Vancouver and Victoria, BC only. Travel to Canada must be authorised by Dollar on collection of vehicle.
If travelling to Miami Port a shuttle service to and from the Port is available from 8am to 3pm, 7 days a week and is ONLY available from the Miami Cruise Ship location. When arriving at the port, proceed to the designated pick up area and look for the Dollar shuttle which comes approximately every 45 minutes. Shuttle distance to the location is about 8 miles. ***Vehicles may NOT be returned to the Port of Miami ***
